Our Story

It all started 30 years ago

It all started 30 years ago when we were looking for a family friendly hunting dog. After we got our first golden retrievers Sandy and HeyDuke, we were hooked. You couldn't ask for a better companion dog than a golden retriever. I decided to let Sandy have a litter, and breeding quickly became a lifelong passion.

We started breeding hunting goldens under the name Fair Hunt. We quickly gained a reputation as an involved breeder in the community. We were known for working with our pups to prepare them to be the best bird dogs you could find.

Maybe I'm getting soft, but hunting is no longer as much of a passion as it used to be. My time and energy now goes to the kids, grand kids, and of course our sweet puppies. Our focus has been shifted from breeding fabulous hunters to breeding loving friends. Our puppies love to be with people as much as we love to be with them.

Our pups are now raised by my son and daughter in law, who carry on the family legacy with me right here in town.
